Vermeer ’s project was founded as a consequence of an order of the 2001 Plaza Festival in San Sebastián. The generator of this project is an approaching to Vermeer’s universe by using a suite dance of ancient ressonance from the particular view that offers the fusion between the jazz language and the contemporary classic music.
The formation for it is soprano sax, horn, harpsichord and string quartet and has a duration of approximately 40 minutes.

The soloist parts have been awarded to the soprano sax, to the horn, to the piano and to the violin.
It was permormed for the first time on june 23, 2001 at Kursaal club in San Sebastián with the solists Mark Feldman (violin), Iain Ballamy (soprano sax), Claudio Pontiggia (horn) and Lluís Vidal.
